The corridors of the College have been filled with the sound of music as ensembles finally gather together in person for rehearsals.

Over the past few weeks, most of the College’s musical ensembles have regrouped to rehearse together for the first time since the start of the pandemic.

Mrs Thom, conductor of the Senior Big Band said: “Having performed two virtual concerts, it’s amazing to be back for face to face rehearsals and hopefully a 'live' concert. It is so lovely to have the pupils in the same room as me again.”

Ms Darolti, Upper Strings Instructor and conductor of the Senior String Orchestra added: “It's so lovely to have the Senior Strings playing together again and to hear the sound of live instruments. We've been waiting for this for so long - we are all excited to be back.”

Delighted to be rehearsing with the Senior Concert Band, new conductor Mr Boyd, shared: "I’m proud to present this year's re-formed Senior Concert Band. The band has been back rehearsing for a few weeks, and we are busy working on music from the big screen as well as rocking out to a very popular 1980's classic. Some Christmas music will be ringing through the College corridors very soon too… but not too soon!”

This is just the start of the return of live music to the College with other groups already underway and more, across Junior and Senior School, planning to come together over the coming weeks.
