This week, some of our youngest children have been taking to the stage, spreading Christmas cheer with their delightful performances.

Nursery children shine in ‘Snuggle Up Stable’

The festive season came alive this week on the MacRobert Hall Stage as the Nursery children performed their rendition of ‘Snuggle Up Stable’.

The cosy nativity by Niki Davies followed the story of a stable full of animals, who became curious as they began to sense something extraordinary was about to happen. The children had a fantastic time singing songs such as ‘There's A Little Stable’ and ‘What Are We Waiting For’ with big smiles and dancing for their families. The performance showcased the children’s growing confidence and creativity while they sang.

Miss Johnson, Nursery School Teacher, shared: "On Wednesday, our Nursery stars sparkled on the MacRobert Hall stage with their performance for our Snuggle Up Stable Nativity. It was a joy to see the children perform in front of their friends and families whilst celebrating the Christmas story. It's remarkable to consider that some children are only three or four years old!"

Junior pupils bring festive fun to MacRobert Hall with ‘The Fleece Force’

Primary 1 and Primary 2 pupils brought the bustling town of Bethlehem to life with their vibrant performance of ‘The Fleece Force’.

Combining humour, heart and festive cheer, the nativity was a fantastic celebration of Christmas filled with unforgettable characters, lively songs and a story that delighted the audience.

The story followed Constable Wooly, a rookie sheep tasked with keeping order of the census of Bethlehem. However, she was not alone, as Constable Jumper was there to lend a helping hoof, and with teamwork, guided all the animals into order.

Mrs Massie, Head of Creative Arts, said: "Our P1/2 pupils gave an outstanding performance on Tuesday evening with ‘The Fleece Force’ patrolling the MacRobert Hall, the audience were in for a treat! Pupils told the story of the first Christmas through music, drama and movement with new Constable Woolly (Isla B) ensuring the streets of Bethlehem didn’t get overcrowded, Chief Fleecy (Alexander S) suggesting the stable as a room for the night and Jumper (Calum M) who enjoyed driving around in a police chase! I'm so proud of every single cast member and thankful to all the staff who supported the production."
