Former two time Bronze Commonwealth and Silver World Series medalist Pamela Cookey paid a visit to Saturday morning sport at Countesswells for a special coaching session with P7-S2 netball girls.

The session took place on Saturday 15 May on the outdoor courts where the girls took part in a range of training sessions to help develop and improve all parts of their game. They also had an opportunity to ask Pamela some questions about her netball journey and listen to her share her experiences of top level netball and club and international level.

Mr Harper, Head of Sport said: “It was fantastic to have Pamela join us at Countesswells on Saturday and spend time with some of our netball girls.

“In a year where netball has been seriously impacted by the heightened restrictions on indoor sport, this was a fantastic opportunity for our girls to learn from one of the games top players who analyses the highest quality of netball week in, week out on Sky Sports.”

Pamela is a retired England international player who represented the England Roses for 11 years and achieved a staggering 114 senior caps in her time playing for the team. In her club career she won multiple Netball Super League titles with Team Bath and also experienced club competition in the ANZ Championship, playing for the New Zealand franchise Northern Mystics.

Since retiring, Pamela has been working with the Vitality Netball Super League as a pundit on Sky Sports and was part of the team who set up the Super League franchise Severn Stars.
