“If you go down in the [Tyrebagger] woods today, you're sure of a big surprise.
If you go down in the woods today, you’d better go in disguise!”

Mrs Kinsey, Nursery Teacher shares what an exciting week it’s been so far.

We visited Tyrebagger Woods on Wednesday where we met some elves, who were called ‘Jolly’ and ‘Holly,’ ‘Tingle’ and ‘Mingle.’ We loved the fact that their names rhymed, because we have been learning about rhyming words. And who else should we meet? Well, none other than Santa himself! There he was, all red and jovial, waiting to meet us as we got off the bus. The elves soon sent us along an enchanted path towards a grove of Christmas trees, where the children chose a very special Christmas tree for Nursery. Mr Chopper-Upper ‘chopped’ the tree down and we brought the tree back to Nursery where we had great fun decorating it in the Play Room. We hope you think that our Christmas tree is as amazing as we think it is.

On Thursday, we went to sing some Christmas songs at a senior citizens’ Christmas Party in St. Columba's Church of Scotland, Bridge of Don. We sang a selection of songs and carols from our forthcoming Nativity, then we ate some lovely Christmas treats and had a wonderful time chatting with the ladies and gentlemen of the group. They really loved our singing and said that we had made them all feel Christmassy and happy!
