Yesterday evening, Primary 3 were thrilled to present their fantastic production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. The pupils have been working hard on perfecting their songs, staging and acting abilities to take the audience on a journey with Dorothy and her friends down the yellow brick road.

Mrs Rose, Teacher of Drama said: "The children in P3 have not had a formal opportunity to perform for an audience since their nursery days, so preparing this very special production was an exciting adventure for us all - staff and children alike! In Drama we have learnt about the story of 'The Wizard of Oz', explored the many and varied characters and worked together to dramatise Dorothy's action packed adventure over the rainbow and all the way to the Land of Oz. From casting, to blocking and from rehearsals to costuming the experience has been one that we hope will live on fondly in the memories of our P3 superstars who all worked so hard to pull it off! I couldn't be more proud of the cast and it was wonderful to hear their parents applaud their hard work and so clearly appreciate the joyful return of live performance to our Junior School Lecture Theatre."

Mrs Constable, Teacher of Music, has been working hard with the pupils during their music sessions, she added: "I am very proud of their hard work and share their excitement of having a live audience to share the songs that we all have enjoyed singing to each other."

Mrs Webb, Head of Junior School summarised: "It has been great for our P3 children to get back on the stage performing live to their parents in our Junior School Lecture Theatre.  All our children were exceptional!
