The energy was electric and the atmosphere brimming with excitement as our Primary 5 pupils took to the Craig Centre for Performing Arts stage for their much-anticipated ‘Celebration of the USA’ show.
Centred around their class topic of the USA, the pupils have dedicated their time in specialist Drama, Music, Art, and Science lessons preparing for their first P5 show evening to their families. The excitement and curiosity sparked by these lessons were brought to life on stage through song, choreography, physical theatre and expressive storytelling.
The evening was a true celebration of collaboration, with pupils taking ownership of their roles and working together to bring their class project to life. The audience was captivated by the innovative use of movement, music, and dialogue that seamlessly wove together the themes of American culture.
Miss Boyne, Principal Teacher of Drama shared: “The Craig Centre for Performing Arts was alive with the energy and excitement of a Broadway stage yesterday, as our talented pupils delivered an unforgettable performance for their family and friends. With boundless enthusiasm, they showcased the hard work and dedication they've put in throughout the term. While performing can be a daunting challenge for any pupil, every single one rose to the occasion, giving their absolute best. We couldn’t be prouder of their achievements!”
