Primary 6 pupils recently brought the vibrant spirit of Scotland to life with a captivating performance in the MacRobert Hall.

Parents were treated to an unforgettable evening as the children showcased their talents in music, drama, and dance, all woven together with a deep appreciation for Scottish culture. The performance was a highlight of their recent studies, both in the classroom with their dedicated year group teachers and through their specialist drama and music classes.

Miss Taylor, Teacher of Music, shared: “Our show celebrated the traditional music of Scotland music putting a modern spin on how this is showcased. P6 have learned about lyrics in Scots, Scottish film music, and have blended pop songs and famous Scottish traditional songs into one. The children worked very hard on the items for the P6 show and have enjoyed collaborating with each of the classes to perform a variety of musical numbers.”

Mrs Rose, Teacher of Drama, said: “Celebrating the culture, music, theatre, dance, history and geography of Scotland always makes for an uplifting evening and our P6s worked really hard to bring to life some very exciting performance items. With comedy, technical theatre, poetry, movement, art work displayed and even some very atmospheric Shakespearean theatre our audience thoroughly enjoyed an entertaining programme. We are all feeling so proud of our P6 year group.”
