Despite Aberdeen’s unusually dry weather, the RGC Paddlesports Club maintained high spirits and embarked on a series of exciting adventures.

While low river levels presented a challenge, the club creatively adapted, starting their outdoor programme with a visit to Lyles Loch. They also had the opportunity to explore the scenic River Don, navigating what some call “Aberdeen’s Grand Canyon” from Seaton Park to Donmouth. Pupils and staff were delighted by the company of curious seals and had the opportunity to observe birds of prey overhead.

Pupils also explored the River Dee, passing beneath the city’s iconic bridges and enjoying an urban, dynamic trip.

The club also welcomed their newest recruit, Mrs Adams, Teacher of Mandarin, who embraced the challenge of taking up paddlesports. The club extends its gratitude to Mrs Pirie, Frau Speidel and Granite Adventures for their continued support and collaboration.
