Three of our Pipe Band pupils attended the Drum Major Cadre at the Army School of Bagpipe Music and Highland Drumming school in Inchdrewer House, Edinburgh.

Leo, Lottie and Jack, under the direction of the Senior Drum Major, British Army Warrant Officer Class 2 Campbell, were instructed in marching and discipline, voice commands, mace drill and signals, massed bands drill and saluting.

They will put their knowledge into practice as positive role models to mentor and develop our younger members of the Pipe Band who will look to them for guidance.

Founded in 1910 as the Army School of Piping (later renamed the Army School of Bagpipe Music), the School is located at Inchdrewer House near Redford Barracks in Edinburgh, Scotland and is administered by the Infantry Training Centre. The School provides courses at different levels to pipers and drummers of the British Armed Forces throughout the year, and qualified instructors are drawn from the pipes and drums of various units in the British Army.
