Robert Gordon’s College is proud to announce that it has been awarded Pathfinder status within the AiEd Certified framework, recognising the significant work already underway to embed responsible, ethical and purposeful use of artificial intelligence across the College community.
Pathfinder status is formally awarded to schools and colleges that are actively engaging with the AiEd Certified framework and building the strong foundations required for full certification. The recognition highlights institutions that are exploring the opportunities presented by AI in a thoughtful and considered manner, while ensuring that practice remains aligned with educational values and learner wellbeing.
The AiEd team identifies Pathfinder institutions as early adopters who are helping to shape sector-wide practice. Robert Gordon’s College’s involvement has been recognised as demonstrating a clear willingness to lead, to explore emerging technologies responsibly, and to support both staff and pupils in developing the knowledge and skills required for an AI-enabled future.
Commenting on the award, Mrs Power, Director of Digital Education, said: “Achieving Pathfinder status represents an important milestone for the College. It recognises the careful and considered work of both staff and pupils in understanding the opportunities and responsibilities that artificial intelligence brings to education. We remain committed to using AI in ways that enhance learning, uphold ethical standards, and prepare our young people for the future. Building on this foundation, we will continue working towards full AiEd Certified status, further developing our approach to digital innovation, professional learning, and pupil engagement.”
