Following a restful break from the heavy snow and prelim exams, Team RGC hit the ground running with a series of charity events in support of Kayleigh’s Wee Stars.
RGC staff traitors
Inspired by the hit BBC series, RGC Staff Traitors saw members of staff take centre stage in a fun twist on the popular game concept. It brought pupils and colleagues together in support of the much-loved charity. Laughter, suspense, and enthusiastic participation filled the campus as the challenge unfolded, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved. The challenge was produced by the RGC Creative Arts team, who worked collaboratively to develop the ideas and bring the community-spirited charity event to life.
Hosts ‘Sophie Winkleman and Claudia Dainton’ brought the round tables to the staff room with shield challenges, murders, and banishments along the way.
Miss Boyne said: “We are delighted to have raised over £430 so far through this one challenge. RGC Staff Traitors has been the hot topic of conversation around school throughout January. After we finished our regular round tables in the staff room we would find pupils waiting to see the live updates to the RGC Staff Traitors Portrait Gallery. With the Faithfuls winning the end game at the campfire, our traitors were all banished. Well done, Faithfuls!”
Mrs Dainton added: “We extend our heartfelt thanks to all staff and pupils who took part, donated, or showed their support for our nominated charity, Kayleigh’s Wee Stars. Pupils and staff have loved following the journey of our faithfuls and traitors. During the live final, the buzz around pupils and staff suspecting Mr Walker and Mrs Wilson was infectious.”
Murdered: Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Wood, Mr Fogiel, Miss Stephen, Mrs Gray, Mrs Brand, Mrs Charlton, Mrs MacDonald.
Banished: Mr Paul, Mrs Powers, Mrs Braid, Mr Taylor, Miss Sinclair-Taylor, Miss England, Mrs Peel, Ms McCulloch, Mrs Smith.
Traitors: Mr Walker, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Carnegie
Winners: Mrs Ross and Dr McNeil

RGC roller disco
The MacRobert Hall was transformed into a neon-lit arena as RGC hosted a series of Roller Discos for pupils ranging from Primary 3 to S1. The event wasn't just about mastering the eight-wheel glide; it was a dedicated effort to support Kayleigh’s Wee Stars.
The atmosphere in the hall was electric. Under flashing lights and a soundtrack of funky tunes, pupils took to the floor for an evening of laughter and skating fun. Whether they were seasoned pros or first-time rollers, the fun-loving nature of the RGC community was on full display.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, donated, volunteered and helped make the evening such a success. Your support will make a real difference to so many families.
