The joyous laughter of our pupils from across the College has been heard throughout the hallways as they have been thoroughly enjoying participating in a range of activities in the run-up to the Christmas period.
Primary 7 sing at Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital
Some of our Primary 7 children were invited by Archie from The Archie Foundation to sing in front of their ‘Woka’ inspired tree in the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. Singing a selection of carols, the children had a fantastic time entertaining patients and staff.
Youngest learners welcome a special visitor
Excitement was in the air as Santa himself made a special visit to our Nursery and Junior School pupils. Spreading warmth and festive cheer, Santa spoke with pupils on all things Christmas. It was a magical experience for the children and one they will remember forever.
P4/5 House extravaganza!
Primary 4 and Primary 5 pupils returned to school in their pyjamas, slippers and dressing gowns; clutching blankets, teddy bears and pillows for their House Movie Night.
Led by the Junior and Senior School House Captains and Charities representatives, the pupils each made a food donation for Instant Neighbour’s festive food bank before settling down together with snacks to watch Home Alone 2.
RGC Christmas Jumper Day and festive Lunch
With an eco-friendly and sustainable approach in mind, Primary 7 pupils hosted a Christmas Jumper Swap ahead of the annual Christmas Jumper Day event. From dazzling designs to sparkly patterns, the Junior School was a sea of bright patterns and smiling faces.
The Thomas Mackie Dining Hall was filled to the brim with music and laughter as our Nursery and Junior School children enjoyed a festive Christmas lunch filled with joy, and delicious food.
Carols in the Quad
Our Junior and Senior School communities joined forces for a magical evening of 'Carols in the Quad'! From our youngest Primary 2 stars to our talented Senior School pupils, the Quad was alive with the sounds of festive jingles.
Underneath the twinkling lights in the Quad, our pupils showcased their musical talents, filling the air with the timeless melodies of festive jingles. Parents, teachers, and friends gathered to soak in the holiday spirit and enjoy warm drinks on a chilly night.
Pupils create magical market experience in support of Maggie's Aberdeen
Some of our S6 pupils have spent the last four weeks planning and creating a winter wonderland in the Craig Centre for Performing Arts.

Senior pupils rally community for festive food drive
The Craig Centre for Performing Arts foyer was buzzing with excitement as pupils were welcomed to donate to the annual winter food bank collection.
This year, the Charities Committee rallied the community and donated a fantastic amount of food donations to cfine, a charity who work to support families in the North East of Scotland.
S1 and S2 Lip Sync Battle
Some of our S1 and S2 pupils grouped into their respective houses for a festive battle of the ages in the Craig Centre for Performing Arts. Pupils entertained the audience with creative performances in a bid to win the top spot. Congratulations to Sillerton who were crowned the 2023 winners by the judging panel!
