We are proud to be working in partnership with the NHS on a special blood donation initiative aimed at senior pupils and staff. On 5 February, the NHS will be hosting a blood donation drive for S6 pupils and school staff, giving eligible donors the opportunity to make a real difference by helping save lives.

In the lead-up to the donation drive, S6 pupils will hear more about the importance of blood donation, what to expect from the process, and how young donors can play a vital role in supporting the health service and wider community, a blood recipient will also share their story about how donations have saved lives.

Speaking ahead of the events, Nurse Katie said: “Robert Gordon’s College is delighted to support this opportunity, which not only raises awareness of an essential public service but also empowers pupils to take part in a life-saving act. Engaging with young people at this stage is incredibly important, and by introducing S6 pupils to blood donation in a supportive school environment, we hope to inspire a new generation of donors who understand just how vital their contribution can be.”
