Families and staff gathered at Aberdeen Music Hall to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our 2026 S1-S5 prizewinners. 

The morning began with a stirring performance from S6 pupil Murray, who piped the platform party into the Music Hall. Following the opening hymn, Kevin Reynard, Chair of Governors, formally welcomed everyone before Robin Macpherson, Head of College, reflected on another outstanding year for the College by thanking pupils, staff, parents and the wider RGC community for their continued support. 

Our Chamber Choir then delivered a beautiful performance of ‘Away From the Roll of the Sea’, before the presentation of prizes from S1-S3, led by Head of Senior School Mrs Smith. We were also delighted to welcome Paul Sherrington from this year’s charity partner, Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, to present the awards to pupils. 

The celebrations continued with an uplifting performance from the Senior Concert Band, who entertained the audience with highlights from ‘Brave’, before the remaining prizes were presented to S4 and S5 pupils. 

A significant moment in the ceremony saw our outgoing School Captains, Fleur, Fraser, Finlay and Abbie, reflect on their year of leadership before officially handing over the reins to our newly appointed 2026-27 School Captains Erin, Oran, Rory and Tammy. 

The afternoon concluded with a special cheque presentation to our charity partner, Kayleigh's Wee Stars. Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of pupils, staff and families throughout the year, the College was proud to present a donation of more than £32,000 - the largest amount Robert Gordon’s College has ever raised for a charity partner in a school session.

Mrs Smith, Head of Senior School shared “Prizegiving Day was a fantastic end to the school year; an opportunity to recognise the hard work and achievements of pupils and staff. It has been a privilege to work alongside local charity Kayleigh’s Wee Stars this session and I congratulate the tremendous efforts our community has made to raise such an impressive amount.”
