Congratulations to S6 pupil Caitlin who has been accepted into the National Youth Orchestras of Scotland (NYOS). 

Caitlin joined the NYOS Symphony Orchestra and attended the first of two residential courses on Saturday 8 April. She had the opportunity to perform with over 100 other young orchestral players from across Scotland in Usher Hall, Edinburgh and the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. 

In July, Caitlin is looking forward to attending the second course where she will perform in Perth Concert Hall and Aberdeen Music Hall thereafter. 

Caitlin shared: “I was delighted to take part in such an incredible orchestra! It was so lovely to meet other musicians from around Scotland and to showcase our hard work at the end of the week.”

Whilst in S4, Caitlin was awarded the Alfred Davidson music prize which has contributed towards her learning with the NYOS.
