The Senior Library had the pleasure of hosting Sean Michael Wilson, the Scottish-born, internationally acclaimed, and award-winning graphic novel and Manga writer.

Mr Clement, highlights: "Sean explained how his writing journey began when he discovered comic books at a shop in Inverurie and later developed the skill of writing stories for this now popular and unique reading medium, commenting that "the writer writes the story as well as the art.

"Having published more than 40 books and been awarded the prestigious International Manga Award by the Japanese Government in 2017, the first British person to be honoured with the medal, Sean will later this year receive the Scottish Samurai Award for his work promoting Japanese history."
