Robert Gordon’s College is joining the global Safer Internet Day campaign to promote the safe and responsible use of technology.

Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, the College will recognise this important event with a week-long series of activities and events from Monday 10th February around the theme: ‘Together for a better internet: Responsible, Creative, Respectful and Critical’.

Mrs Power, Digital Education Co-ordinator commented: “Our week-long programme of events helps raise awareness of the positive uses of technology and allows our community to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. This year we are focusing on how everyone online can become an ally to misrepresented or maligned users, how we can use reporting tools to effectively manage hateful or hurtful content, understanding the need to be aware of misinformation and bias online and how the internet can be a force for positive creative expression.”
