The College Nursing team have been coordinating a food collection in support of local charity, Somebody Cares.

During the Critical Workers Service at Schoolhill last week, the team were delighted to handover the food items to help those less fortunate in and around the city.

Nurse Tor shared: “Now more than ever we need to reach out and support the community around us. Staff and pupils have made generous donations both online and also by giving non perishable items that were collected by local charity Somebody Cares. We hope that someone's day can be eased with knowing there is food for the family.”

Since starting up in 2002, Somebody Cares sole continues to provide free food, furniture and clothing to vulnerable individuals and families across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. To find out more about the charity and how you can support, visit its website.

The Nursing team is continuing the collection for anyone who would still like to donate either non perishable items (via the Critical Workers Service) or online.
