Mr Hay, Head of Computing, is continuing to support the STACS Upskilling Program. As one of the lead tutors, he is working with a team to help deliver a series of free online workshops designed to enhance the skills and confidence of Higher and National 5 Computing Science teachers.

With two more workshops to go, week commencing 8 January and 5 February, you can choose one of three evening sessions to attend each week. These cover Software Development, Databases or Web Development. Live sessions run 7pm - 8:30pm and you can sign up on the STACS website at www.stacs.scot.

Scottish Teachers Advancing Computing Science is a teacher-led organisation that is aimed at helping advance Computing Science at school level, helping teachers to engage, nurture and inspire the next generation of talent in their classroom. The provision of continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities is vital for the broader teaching network and knowledge sharing, ultimately enhancing the overall quality of education across Scotland.
