The performing arts community at Robert Gordon's College is strong and continues to grow every year.

Reflecting on what would normally be one of the busiest performing weeks in the school calendar, Miss Robb, Drama Teacher shares: “We are very fortunate to be able to offer a musical for S1-S2 and S3-S6 every year, in addition to an S6 play. However this year, live performance is on hold due to social distancing. The students gain so much from taking part in school shows including building confidence, taking on new responsibilities and meeting new friends where every single person feels like a valued member of the team.

“On the week that we would usually have a school show, we look back on some of the amazing experiences and memories our staff and pupils have made. Our love and support goes out to all of those in the arts industries at this time.”

Mr Elder, Head of Senior School, added: “The video brought back tremendous memories! Involvement in school shows has been truly life-changing for many of our pupils over the years, and we very much look forward to live performances coming ‘back home’ to RGC in due course. In the meantime, it has been inspiring to witness the many innovative ways in which the performing arts at the College have continued to provide vital outlets of self-expression and creativity for our pupils.”

The show will go on
