Some of our senior pupils have achieved outstanding success in this year’s Mathematical Olympiad for Girls (MOG), a prestigious UK-wide competition that challenges and inspires young women in mathematics.
Congratulations to Chunlin (S5), who achieved a Distinction and was awarded Best in School, and Grace (S6), who achieved a Distinction in the competition.
The UK Maths Trust also launched a new competition to inspire young female mathematicians, the Mathematical Competition for Girls (MCG). In this challenge,Isla and Harshini (both S5) achieved merit awards.
Mrs Pathakji, Teacher of Mathematics, shared: “It is wonderful to see our young women engaging and achieving in such difficult challenges.”
The Mathematical Olympiad for Girls is designed specifically for female students across the country, encouraging them to engage with advanced problem-solving in a supportive and stimulating environment. Each participant tackles five challenging questions, crafted to stretch reasoning, creativity, and mathematical insight beyond the standard curriculum.
